FAQs
Why should I join ThriveTutors?
At Thrive Education, we believe success starts from within. Our philosophy is simple: the most important foundation for success is inner confidence and self-belief. When a child feels capable and supported, they become unstoppable—not just in school, but in life.
That’s why we go beyond traditional tutoring. We focus on the whole child, combining academic support with strategies to build resilience, confidence, and a growth mindset. Through our personalised tutoring and mentoring programs, your child won’t just achieve better grades—they’ll develop the tools to thrive in every area of life.
Is online tutoring as good as face to face?
Like anything in life, the more you practice something the better you will be! And the same goes for learning.
If a child is falling behind, having a series of lessons in close succession will ensure they haven’t forgotten what they’ve just learnt and can progress to the next stage and the same applies for a student who is wishing to extend their learning further.

How many lessons per week should I have?
Like anything in life, the more you practice something the better you will be! And the same goes for learning.
ThriveTutors™ recommends 2-3 sessions per week, to reach your full Thrive potential, however every child is unique and different and their needs will vary. For some, one session per week with a private tutor is enough to get their learning up-to-date and for some, more sessions may be needed. We also want to make sure that children don’t become overwhelmed or burnt out.

My child is easily distracted, will online learning work?
Our qualified teachers will guide your child through each session, and they go above and beyond to make sure every lesson is engaging and fun. Our students are never just watching a screen; we keep their attention through two-way communication, interactive activities, and learning discussions.
How does online tutoring work?
At the time of your lesson, you can log into your account and click ‘Join Lesson.’ From here, teachers and students engage in a live, online classroom learning experience – It’s exactly the same as being in the classroom, only you’re teacher is in a different location. Learning is facilitated to help students participate and interact online. Our qualified teachers will use different audio and visual aids, as well as interactive features like our online whiteboard.
